Lake Hope

Explore One of Ohio's Most Historic State Parks

While it is the pinnacle of extraordinary views, Lake Hope also has a rich history. Sitting in Ohio's Hanging Rock iron region, the park still has remnants of iron ore production dating back over 100 years. Now, Lake Hope State Park's rolling hills are covered in lush forest, complete with rare flowers and distinguished oak and hickory trees.

We welcome travelers year-round with nature-inspired accommodations, including 64 cabins and the Laurel Lodge Retreat Cabin, which comfortably accommodates up to 24 guests. Built from native stone and lumber, our cottages and lodge rooms offer a warm, authentic stay. Along with an on-site restaurant, meeting room, and a general store, we aim to provide everything you could hope for during your visit.

A living room space with a stone fireplace on the left side of the room. There is a wooden mantel above the fireplace. In the center of the room is a long, slender dining table. A table with a lamp is on the opposite side of the room from the fireplace. An arm from a couch sticks out of the bottom right corner.
