The Views

Come for the golf, and stay for the fantastic views. Each course provides unmatched views of bluffs, lakes, and wide open skies. You’ll take in the beauty whether you are walking the course or riding in a cart. For those who prefer taking in the scenery by walking, Deer Creek’s level terrain makes the 18-hole, 350-acre course ideal for just that. Plus, you’ll get your steps in for the day. And at Hueston Woods, find a sense of calmness with nothing but the birds chirping and the sound of your club making contact with the ball.

This is nothing quite like teeing off at the 18th hole as the sunsets at Maumee Bay. The course covers 1,850 acres of protected wetlands and follows the beautiful north coast of Ohio. This course is full of incredible sights that every golfer should experience for themselves.

The Animals

Wildlife meets golf at many of Ohio’s golf courses. It’s not unusual to see deer on the course during your round of 18 holes at Salt Fork, they are there to offer nods of encouragement (or judgment). With 10 ponds and mature trees, you never know what you may see or encounter at Deer Creek. But hey, that only adds to the excitement!

The Complexity

The courses have been designed to challenge and provide an experience. Leave no club untouched on Punderson's challenging 72-par course. It's 8th hole has been deemed one of the toughest in northeast Ohio featuring a tight tee shot followed by a shot over a lake and sand traps.

Meanwhile, golfers of all skill levels can challenge themselves with Maumee Bay's 18-hole, par-72 course designed by Arthur Hills. This links-style golf course gives it the look and feel of the British Open—very few trees, tall heathered grass, lakes, and ponds.

The Fun

Each course also has a lodge next to it, making it the perfect place to escape for a golf weekend. With spacious hotel rooms, private cabins, and lots of amenities, you can play and stay in one location allowing you to focus on what really matters—your golf game and having fun.

Most of the courses have an outdoor pavilion ideal for kicking back with a cold beverage and sharing a delicious meal. When traveling with a group, you can reserve the perfect spot to relax with your friends enjoy a catered meal. No matter what type of golf trip you are planning with your family or friends, the Great Ohio Lodges' staff is guaranteed to make it stress-free.
